Announcing the New Summer Symposium on Human Rights Law in Africa in Arusha , Tanzania ( East Africa )

The International Peace and Conflict Resolution Program at Arcadia University is currently accepting applications for its three week (4-credit) Graduate Symposium on International Human Rights Law in Africa . The dates of the Symposium are July 20 – August 7, 2009. The program is jointly created by the International Peace and Conflict Resolution Program at Arcadia University and the African Foundation for International Law to provide a unique learning experience for the graduate student studying international law, human rights, international diplomacy and conflict resolution. The classes will be led by the African Foundation for International Law and will link to the resources available in Arusha ( Tanzania ) notably at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (UNICTR) and at the East African Community, both headquartered in Arusha , Tanzania . The program will be held at the Nyerere Centre for Peace Research (an Arcadia University research center in Arusha , Tanzania ).  

Housing and logistical support will be coordinated by the IPCR program and staff on site in Tanzania .
