The Department of Horticulture is in the Faculty of Agriculture, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources,  Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

The Faculty runs a bachelors Degree in Postharvest Technology. The first batch of graduates passed out this year, after a 4-year training. This is the first ever graduates of Postharvest Technology in Ghana. The Department thus seeks partners to:

1. Build the capacity of the lecturers in the Postharvest area to deliver better teaching and learning methods and materials to the students;

2. Develop and equip the laboratory of the Postharvest unit to be a centre of excellence in carrying out postharvest work and data analysis in the country;

3. Develop the postharvest unit into a full-fledged Department of Postharvest Technology; and

4. Develop proposals to get the graduates integrated into the society/system to help reduce postharvest losses in the country,
