Good afternoon,

I am late getting to this, but hopefully there is still value in this post.

CCID is a consortium of 170 colleges with 28 being non-US.  We engage in collaborative activities of many kinds, from conferences and in-house training, to working with Ministries of Education, or other higher education entities.  For example, we are providing expertise from the membership to work with the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Georgia, to help establish the first community college in that country.

Other activities involve raising the awareness of US educators, by arranging for professional development activities around the globe.  The bottom line, no mater the location of our member institutions, is for their students to better understand the global issues that face us all.  More may be found at: http://www.ccid.cc

We have modest activities in Africa, with a number of relationships across the continent.  Some of the CCID member colleges have undertaken extensive work in Africa.
